Every 1st Saturday of the month, from 10 am until 4 pm – The Nienoord regional product market provides the most delicious food from the region. All products are grown, cultivated and prepared within a 40-kilometre radius around Leek. Most of the products can be tasted and sellers – who commonly produce the food they sell – can tell you the story behind the product or provide tips to prepare it. Consumers are free to feel and inspect the products before buying. The objective of the market is to reinforce the connection between the city and countryside and shorten the ‘from farmer to plate’ chain.
