Who will shoot the best photo of the wind?
Enter the photo competition and submit your best wind photo of Eemsdelta. Take that shot of your favourite spot in – or out of – the wind, or an adventure you had that involved wind.
The photo competition has closed.
Would you like to be swept away by Appingedam culture? Sail close to the wind through rural Loppersum? Or maybe inhale the fresh air at the Delfzijl beach? Share your photo and win the frisse-WIND-arrangement package which consists of a meal, an overnight stay and a regional product package for two.
A selection of the photos entered will be weekly included on this page.
Winners of the photo competition
Thea Kerstholt (Wehe den Hoorn) is the winner of the photo competition for the ‘24 uur Wind mee in Eemsdelta’ campaign. She succeeded in capturing the theme – Eemsdelta.Wind.Altijd – in one photo. Taken during the storm Corrie that raged across the Netherlands in early 2022, Thea managed to resist the wind and capture the horizon. She won a complete ‘24 uur in Eemsdelta arrangement’, consisting of a meal in the Basiliek (Appingedam), overnight accommodation in the Eemshotel, the local Groningen route, and a basket filled with regional products.
Kees Komdeur (Roden) won second prize with a photo depicting the footbridge near the Delfzijl beach during sunrise. He won four free tickets to a performance of his choice in the Molenberg Delfzijl theatre.
The lovely tourist photo of a bicycle leaning against the fence of the church in Eenum was taken by Astrid Bosker (Winsum), winning her the third prize: an introduction in witchery and witchcraft at the Wikster van het Wad in Bierum.
All prizes were made available free of charge by the entrepreneurs involved.
