Noordbroek - Go to De Fruitgaard just outside the village of Noordbroek to pick apples you can use to make the most delicious applesauce or apple pie, or to simply eat a freshly-picked apple. Pull on your boots, grab a bucket and go! The farm shop sells homemade jams, jellies and preserved fruit under the name of Grunneger Heerlijckheid. Tjuchemmer Kaas | Worth the detour
Tjuchem - ‘A day without cheese is a day wasted’: this is the heartfelt motto of dairy farmer and cheesemaker Rico Achterberg. He runs the Tjuchemmer Kaas farm, cheese room and farm shop together with his wife Els. They have fifty cows. After selling some of the milk, they use the rest to make cheese. Their customers happily head out to the village of Tjuchem to sample and buy it. In addition to the ‘regular’ Gouda cheese, they also produce herb cheese – from fenugreek cheese to nettle and wild garlic cheese.
