Bourtange – Visitors of the village of Bourtange are guided straight to the fortress, one of the main historic sights of Westerwolde. Travel through time and take in an exhibition in one or more of the town’s museums. In Terra Mora, learn about the relationship between the marsh and the fortress, go to the De Baracquen museum to see implements and appliances from long ago, or take a peek in the former captain’s cottage.
