One, two, three
Three blocks of flats at the Van Ketwich Verschuurlaan together form the southern border of De Wijert neighbourhood.
Take a look
These works of art by Allie van Altena were applied to the front walls and consist of three objects of 63 balls, 63 quadrangles and 63 pyramids. All 189 elements have been separately mounted to the wall. Each object is intended to function as some kind of artistic signpost, because the residents of the Wijert wanted more landmarks in their neighbourhood with the repetitive lay-out of the identical blocks that at times make it difficult to orientate. The balls, quadrangles and pyramids provide recognisability.
